This Chaturthi read the immense glory of five famous and ancient Ganesh temples of the state
1. Chintaman Ganesh, Ujjain
Shri Ram established the temple where worry is removed by the mere visitation
The ancient temple located 7 km away from the city of Ujjain is famous by the name Chintaman Ganesh. There are three idols of Gaurisut Ganesh here. The first Chintaman, the second Ichhaman, and the third Siddhivinayak believe that for those who are not getting their passion, their marriage is done here without any Muhurta. The temple dates back to the Parmara period, which is believed to be from the 9th to the 13th century. Later the temple was renovated during the reign of Ahilyabai Holkar.
According to beliefs, Chintaman Ganesh is one of the established Shat Vinayaks of Ma Sita. The temple was established by Lord Shri Ram himself. All the worries of those who visit here are removed.
Sehore. Chintaman Ganesh Temple is one of the four Swayambhu Ganesh Temples in the country. Swayambhu idols are seated in Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, Chintaman Ganesh in Ujjain, Siddhapur in Gujarat, and Chintaman Ganesh temple in fourth Sehore. It is believed that by making an inverted swastika here, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. The history of this ancient temple is said to be two thousand years old. Later the renovation was done by Bajirao Peshwa I.
It is said that Emperor Vikramaditya was carrying the Lord who appeared in the form of a lotus flower on the river Sivan. In the morning, the chariot sank into the ground. The lotus kept in the chariot had turned into a Ganesha idol.
3. Gwalior Ganesh Mandir
Tansen got rid of stammer here in Ganesh Mandir
There is a temple of Lord Ganesha in Gwalior, Behat. Sangeet Samrat Tansen was born in this town. It is said that Tansen used to stammer in his childhood. His father had brought him for darshan in this Ganesh temple located near the pagoda. After this, Tansen started practicing music while sitting on the temple premises and it was here that he composed the Shri Ganesha source. It was here that the stammer of Ganeshji's Tansen was removed.
It is believed that the school built here was crooked due to Tansen's music. Lord Shiva was pleased with Tansen's devotion and appeared.
The temple is one of the rich temples. Every wish of the devotees is fulfilled by the darshan of Khajrana Ganesh. In the temple, on Vinayaka Chaturthi, the Lord is adorned with ornaments worth 3 crores. God's eyes are made of diamonds. These were donated by a businessman from Indore. The upper wall of the sanctum is made of silver. In 1735, Rani Ahilyabai of the Holkar dynasty got the Ganesh temple renovated at Khajrana, Indore.
It is believed that the idol was hidden in the well during the reign of Aurangzeb. When many temples across the country were being demolished. Years later a pundit recognized the idol in a dream.
5. Dwimukhi Chintaharan, Mandsaur
Two forms in one statue, no such temple anywhere in the world
Mandsaur. There is a supernatural statue of Lord Ganesha in Mandsaur. The 7 feet high double-faced statue on a stone in the temple is probably nowhere in the world. The front form of the statue is Panchasundi (five trunks). On the reverse side, Lord Ganesha is in the posture of Seth. And wearing a turban on his head. The known history of the temple is said to be about 93 years old. It is believed that Moolchand Swarnakar felt the presence of the idol in his dream.
According to the local people, on 22 June 1929, the statue was taken out to be installed. While the idol was being carried, the bullock cart did not move forward. After this, the temple was established here.
